Where's good?
Two Wheels Good is probably the nearest (beside Oddbins on the way up Crouch Hill from the Broadway), but unless you're a real bike nut I'd go elsewhere - as I've said on an old thread here I think they're a bit patronising with anyone who just has a humble bike for, like, getting places.
I know I should support local businesses and everything but for buying stuff I always use Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative , even for buying bikes (they deliver for £10 I think). For repairs I've yet to settle on anywhere I like so would be interested in others' experiences.
David's away, but if he was here, I'd hope he'd be telling you about the bike he is currently building from scratch, custom sourcing all the parts online to his own design. It's a labour of love, that he's documenting online here: http://www.dkltd.net/building_a_road_bike/
Thanks everyone
Yep, Finsbury park Cycles are great for repairs/maintenance etc. If you want to have an experience that makes you feel worthless and stupid with your bog standard commuter bike, but with a hankering to become the next victim to the new trend of 'fixie' restored bikes, then try Sargent and Co. on Mountgrove Rd.

He won't put it up himself, so here is David's new custom-designed, hand built road bike.
A prize for anyone in upper-east side who knows which local wall it's standing against.
I'll have a punt at Albert Rd. Near the junction with Victoria Road. Is that Upper East side? I forget the boundaries.
I can't believe you got that mapsa.
That is the side of the House which used to have the Italian lady who grew the most amazing veggies in her front Garden and a really productive Fig Tree in the back. Believe it is going to be developed into Flats
Yes, that's the one. Hooray! I'm on a roll this week, won the Dairy's pub quiz on Tuesday too. I expect the prize for David's quiz will be even more generous...
What was the prize from the pub quiz?
What day is the Dairy quiz?
Sorry, I've just re-read your post. Tuesday.
I'll stop asking daft questions.
A £78 bar tab.
(So I'd probably settle for an I heart N4 mug/tote bag)
I've not used him, but there's a guy with a little bike fix hut at the Green Lane pumping station. Prices look ok and I did once find his site online with a mobile number. If I remember correctly, site said not open Sundays but he definitely was when I went past for a beer on the reservoir.
