Internal wall Builders?

edited April 2010 in Local discussion
Quite a boring topic to most but has anyone ever had an internal wall put into their front room to create an extra bedroom? I can't face moving from my flat and as the front room is a large double windowed room I'm thinking of dividing it to make a small bedroom for my son.

If anyone has had this done and has any tips or could recommend a good local builder that would be great!

Thanks!

Hi lottie. Not done a wall in the living room, but did so in my bathroom. Its pretty straightforward. A chippy creates a wooden frame from floor to ceiling, then puts plasterboard onto the frame, then a plasterer goes over the whole lot and makes it seamless. If you want electrics (lightswitches etc) put in, decide where they're going first! A plasterer will have the contacts to get all the relevant people together to do the job. Barnes Plastering are good. 07859 881835.
