What was the one with berries? I'm very keen on a Wensleydale with cranberries - despite the fact that I believe that fruit should never make an appearance in savoury foods (with the noble exception of tomatoes of course).
It was iirc Cropwell Bishop stilton with nuts and berries. A good idea in principle, but they'd slightly overdone the nuts and berries to the extent that the cheese was no longer holding together. Still tasty once you'd gathered it up, though.
It may be that they do 40p off all their standard ales, but given this festival, they had lots of guest ale on, which I guess they can't discount. Could be that when things revert back to normal, you could indeed get 40p off all their ales. Will find out next week!
I'm fairly sure they have in the past done money off other ales, though I couldn't tell you which ones offhand as I'm only ever ordering them for other people.
