March To save the NHS - Tuesday 17th May 1730 from UCH.

Dear all, I am a Doctor in the NHS. My colleagues and I are extremely concerned by the proposed new NHS reforms of the Tory party. We need to stop them getting this bill through Parliament.

Please come help support us on Tuesday 17th May 2011. We are meeting outside UCH hospial at 1730 and will March to Whitehall. All your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for posting the BMJ article, [_How the secretary of state for health proposes to abolish the NHS in England_](http://www.bmj.com/content/342/bmj.d1695.full). It's scary stuff - way, way worse than I'd realised. "The government proposes a commercial system in which the NHS is reduced to the role of government payer, equivalent to Medicare and Medicaid schemes in the US."
