Annoying School Alarm Bells

edited October 2011 in Local discussion
IAMS alarm problem

If you live near Tollington Park or Turle Road you will know the problems recently with the faulty fire alarm at the IAM School which regularly goes off in the middle of the night sometimes for an hour or more.. My uncle lives there and his family are freaking out (even more than usual) because of the disturbance.

The school do not seem to be able to fix the problem and surprisingly none of the emergency services ever come when it rings (a bit worrying if there was a real fire....).

Anyhow I can pass on the details if you want to complain:

Tollington Park Noise Patrol – ring them as soon as the alarm sounds - 020 7527 3229. This operates from 8pm-2am on Sunday to Thursday and from 10pm-4am on Friday and Saturday. You need to offer to receive a ‘call back’to get priority.

Currently the noise patrol service do need to call you back to ensure
you are available to visit - if you decline a call back the complaint
will be given a lower priority on the night.

You can also leave details with the Islington Council officer looking into this who is Miss Sukky Choongh 020 7527 3048, She will need details of timing and durations etc.

Hopefully the bells will stop soon.
