<P>If anyone else is irritated by Thames Water's failure to do something about the leaks & resultant collapsing of the tarmac in 2 places on Lower SGR (junction of Woodstock Road, listed under World's End Pub (Capital Pub Company), N4 3EF), please nag them - leak line 0800 714 614, or tweet @thameswater. I've been told they'll get an engineer out in 6 hours for an emergency, but they also said that a week ago yesterday when I first reported it (by which time it was already at least 4 days old)!</P>

Ah, glad to see there's another person round here reporting leaks to Thames Water, hooray! They seem to be very variable at how quickly they repair them, but the people handling their Twitter account seem helpful and competent.<div><br></div><div>The downside of reporting leaks of course is every now and again seeing a tailback caused by a hole in the road, and shuffling past quickly hoping the delayed drivers don't realise you may have something to do with it... :-)</div>

@markpack, I haven't tried their Twitter account, only their phone (takes forever, log of calls isn't accurate...) but might do when the current repairs at the SGR/Woodstock Rd collapse. I don't think we reporters can be held responsible for the holes in the road - by the time TW comes out, there's already a pond. At least we're trying to get it fixed before a protected species takes up residence!

@vetski - That's what I really like about reporting leaks to them via Twitter. Much faster than phone call, plus if you have a smartphone you can do it when you see a leak, quickly and without getting in the way of whatever you are off to do.
