    Is it my imagination, or is the tube busier than usual already?

    (Only my second summer since moving to London, so am I just forgetting what it was like last year - or is it busier?)

    I went on it for the first time in months the other day and it seemed about the same as usual. Always seems worse in the summer because it's so wretched hot and smelly.

    It does seem busier. Leaving FP station at about 9:15 this week and it's as busy as it usually is an hour earlier.

    The Harringay train and the Victoria line have definitely been busier in the mornings and evenings past couple of weeks.

    FP station was closed this morning around 8.45am "due to overcrowding". Nice of the station staff to open the Wells Terrace exit first, though! Took approx 4 trains to be able to get onto a Victoria line tube after that. Joys.

    @harpistic: the lack of ticket gates means they have few other options to deal with overcrowding.  Usually the overcrowding is a knock-on effect of one or both of the Underground lines not running a good service, though.
