Man sleeping in Finsbury Park station tunnel

Surprised to see someone had made up a bed and was fast asleep beside the info booth as you come up the stairs to go from the Piccadilly Line toward Wells Terrace.

I told the staff member who was firmly wedged into his den by the ticket machines engrossed in his book but he didn't seem bothered. Anything could happen in that station, the staff don't move from their pods for hours at a time.

 •
There seem to be people sleeping rough along the New River path at about the point wheer Skinners Academy. Seems to involve babies as well judging by the number of used nappies about the place. The River itself and the pathway are both strewn with litter

 • The station staff have never appeared particularly concerned about begging going on at the Wells terrace entrance either - although the favoured spot with no CCTV coverage is now inside the gate-line and not so handy for a quick get-away.
 • Sainsbury's on Upper SGR seems to be a favourite spot for begging
