Local jobs

edited November 2016 in Local discussion
I am in between jobs now as waiting to move and will start looking for a new one after the move - the little dream is to work as local as possible so just wondering if anyone knows the best place to look for a local job. Now the possibly problematic part - for the past 15 years I have worked as clinical/bespoke systems trainer. For anyone working within the NHS that will mean Cerner and other EPR (Electronic Patient Records) systems mostly with a 9 month break from that while working with financial/banking systems. That meant I was wherever new systems were going live - training and supporting users from Health Care Assistants to Consultants via admin staff on the way. Very specialised, very demanding job. Frankly I want to slow down a little - that was brought on by my last role where I was commuting for 5-6 hours per day every day between E11 and Reading which involved: bus, train, tube, another tube, train and bus at the end. After 14 months of having no life whatsoever.... So where would I look for some little lighter kind of role: relaxed office based, walking distance (dream) or a bus only journey, no late evenings and or/weekends and/or overnight stays away from home, possible flexible hours with some work from home from time to time? In some small company where there is no constant back stabbing involved and people get on? Any pointers? CV and LinkedIn profile available via email of course. Together with excellent references. If I find nothing suitable soon.... may start looking back in my own field... Thanks a lot
