The next film at the Haringey Over 50's Forum's Cinema Club for the Over 50's will be Edie starring Sheila Hancock.
Synopsis:
At 83, Edie believes that it is never too late - packing an old camping bag, leaving her life behind and embarking on an adventure she never got to have - climbing the imposing Mount Suilven in Scotland. In the aftermath of the death of her controlling husband, Edith Moore (Sheila Hancock in a truly moving performance) decides to fulfil a life-long dream and overcome a lifetime of bitterness and resentment. She employs Jonny to help her prepare for the gruelling climb of the mountain – sparking an unusual friendship. This is a story of triumph over adversity as Edie embarks on the adventure of a lifetime, set against the stunning backdrop of the Scottish Highlands.
