This is one of the best explanations of the LHC I've seen.
Rap. Is there anything it can't do?
It's far far better than this [bloody awful article in the Guardian today](http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2008/sep/10/cern.particlephysics) by Stuart Jeffries that I wasted 10 minutes of my life on earlier. To paraphrase the Guardian article:
*Me, Me, Me, Me, Large Hadron Collider, Me, Me, I'm an idiot padding out three pages in the style of a 13 year old livejournal blogger. Me me me.Unfunny joke. Unfunny joke. Me, me and finally, me.*
They could have just the pages blank. Or used pictures.
That said, the picture on the front of G2 was quite funny:<http://image.guardian.co.uk/sys-files/Guardian/documents/2008/09/10/cern_G2_cover.pdf>
End-of-the-World prophets were getting short shrift from certain quarters. From the Telegraph online ....
.... said Prof Brian Cox of Manchester University, adding: "Anyone who thinks the LHC will destroy the world is a t---."
