Can't believe nobody else has started a snow thread. Well here is a place to make snowmen, throw snowballs and in a day's time or so, moan about the slush.
Play Mario Kart all day. Actually can I send my six year old son to join you? The school is practically closed, and he loves MK. If he misbehaves, just take him outside and bury him in the snow.
written by a bakerloo line driver, here is an explanation of at least some of the reasons the underground can't cope with snow...
did anyone hear boris being an arse on the world at one?
martha kearney said "not even the blitz stopped ALL london buses!" and he replied "we gritted, we grat, we grut, but the problem is that the snow falls on top of it". surely the point is that once it falls on top of the grit it melts, thus removing the problem?
martha said "your conjugation is very impressive but that's enough, on your bike" and cut him off! hurrah!
Left the house just after 7 and went to work - it was really pretty and so silent. Was in by 8, no problems at all on the transport front, then ran around outside my work (near Southwark Cathedral/Golden Hinde) taking photos. Have come home early though just in case everything freezes when it gets dark like it did a couple of years ago.
My favourite snow thing: the snow on my round garden table, which looks like the inside of a Tunnocks tea cake.
Just went to Finsbury Park for a snow-laden walk - lovely! Very busy with hooded youngsters trying to ice the crap out of each other, but apart from that most picturesque.
I'd just like to say that myself and Cake we're the fastest down the path on our snowboard sledge. All the people with for-sale signs must try harder (I'm guessing it's the most use those signs have had for months, probably taken from their own unsellable houses as the salty tears form little icicles down their faces; or it's out of work estate agents in which case I laugh in your recently discarded shitty foxtons faces)...
Has anyone else been the victim of a snowball attack? I've been hit twice now, today and yesterday, by random youths. Is this normal? Is this acceptable?
Yeah I did on Monday
There were quite a few kids standing on the roof of the building next to christopher charles on tollington park throwing snowballs straight down on to people's heads.
To be honest it did seem to have moved past loveable rogues
Hasn't anyone else noticed that since the onset of snow the depressing headlines about the recession have disappeared? One could almost be forgiven for thinking that the recession is over.
Headlines are now dominated by the white stuff. Long may it continue.
Hi everyone - SG newbie!
