residents parking (sorry.. i've almost bored myself..)

i know cars are bad and wrong but i do have one (and a bike which i use as well..) but can never park for love nor money on ferme park road since they put residents parking in every road around it. does anyone know if they are planning to put residents into ferme park road or shall i accept it's bad karma for having a car in the first place.

dont even get me started on parking in this bloody place!! I have a car for a few weeks and havnt found time to go and get a visitor permit so although I live on SGR,my car is parked on a friends path in Manor House!!! Milessssssssssss away!

I live on FPR too, though I don't have a car. Judging by the picture on his blog it looks like Richard may also be a Ferme Park Road-er...

I was quite tickled at how over the top the first comment on that post is: "The CPZ pincer movement is so effective.." Let's hope Haringey's [evil parking masterplan](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Map_Battle_of_Stalingrad-en.svg) never comes to full fruition.

thanks for this Jamie, i just left a "disgusted from ferme park road" message on the website too. i never thought the day would come when i moan on councillor websites. please someone stop me if i end up getting a taste for this and writing in horror about dog poo and youngsters spitting in the street...

I have already used up my 2 - 2week visitor permits for a car that I thought I would have for a month but no find that I will have for an extra month. Is there any way of appealing to their good nature for an additional supply?

From the look Richard has outside Kings I think he will be giving a massive yes vote to the Karmenz license. He'll be down there in no time using that pointing action to cut some shapes on the dance floor.

@Nix - relying on good nature is a high-risk approach and doomed to failure. Can you get someone else to make an application for you (eg a next door neighbour)? I'm not certain but I think that would work (they don't require the car to be registered to the applicant as they do for full resident permits). If you can persuade a pensioner neighbour then you even get it half price! Also, the allocation is not per household but per resident I think so if anyone else is living with you they will have an allocation of their own.

Thanks Shaun, I live alone and don't think I know anyone who is actually in the FP CPZ they all live on the 7sisters side which is Hackney or in Manor House which is Green Lanes CPZ. I'm going to have to add up how many dailies it will take to keep it here a bit longer!

Pincer movement - ha, genius! And to think I originally voted against the CPZ on FPR, how silly do i feel. If only the other zones had the balls to vote against it, we have these greedy council fascists beat.
I wouldn't mind so much, but I swear the chap who owns/runs Londis, who's house is opposite, is running an illegal car hire or cab firm; with his double-width drop down and no-doubt not-needed disabled parking bay and his half dozen cars and people carriers, he's got half the street tied up. And anyone with a car with expired tax dumps their car outside my flat because no-one patrols it if its not in the CPZ. The council have no clue how to satisfy the demand for parking, all they see is how much council tax they can bleed out of the victorian housing stock by letting developers split them into millions of tiny flats. What they need to do is send a town planner with half a brain to figure out how to make best use of the available parking and slow down the traffic at the same time....it can be done......(and relax).
