Hello Guys! just moved off hornsey road, quite cool to learn about this website and the sense of community that brings along..

I've just released an album and hopefully will be playing soon in one of the finest establishments of SG..

not much in the way of venues round here. the broken toy nights at the world's end are probably your best bet, played a couple and it's usually a decent atmosphere. heard decent things about the sunday acoustic nights at the world's end too but haven't witnessed any personally.

Possibly, but someone playing Soukous in Hackney would then be 'local word music' and an Oasis tribute band in the Congo would be 'world local music', no?

my point was more the oddness of introducing oneself as a "local musician". it made me wonder what kind of music is "local" music? stroud greencore?

I'd like to see Liam in DR Congo still giving it that annoying swagger and silly two fingers up at everyone. His tours would be cut even shorter than they normally are.

To bring up the Oxford Road String Quartet again, they have solved the venue issue elegantly by playing in their front room and stunning innocent passersby. Have wondered lately whether seating could be arranged in Oxford Road.
