Councillor Wilson has his own site at http://www.richardwilson.me.uk/meet-richard/
Not to glum on this site although being serious about the small things is good as it helps the over all area bit by bit
Glad to see my pictures are causing such amusement - I love the glum councillors website, particularly the photos of my colleagues Neil Williams and Laura Edge.
In my defence I am actually smiling in the 'double-handed point' photo above - as I am celebrating the Council cleaning up the previously overgrown plant beds (on the corner of Upper Tollington and Oakfield)! So I do occasionally post some smiley successful pictures too.
PS - I spotted on Monday that the plant beds have been struck by a vehicle and badly damaged, and have reported it to the Council. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me.
Richard: if the absence of a camera is all that stops the internet welcoming another glum photo of yourself, I'll happily volunteer to come and photograph you in action.
Yes, last weekend a white van hit the wall (is that some kind of slang?), the van rode up on top of the wall quite impressively. There ought to be some kind of tree planted there for every time the wall gets hit.
It's a bad road layout there. Putting my professional hat on, they should move the flower beds to be a central reservation and put in a raised table formation to slow vehicles down before they go around the corner. They should do the same on the other side of the bridge for the entrance to Finsbury Park.
And while they're at it, they need to put warning signs up on the approach to the mini-roundabout at Endymion Road / Wightman Road junction, and put a right-turn filter light turning from southbound Green Lanes into Endymion Road (co-acting with the Sainsbury junction lights) to reduce accidents.
I think that's just about everything off my chest ...
