  I was pouring cups of water out my shoes after cycling home. Rubbish weather. I fully expect an apology from Gordon Brown along with a testament to my determination to still travel home on a bicycle.

  I got drenched twice today and for the first time understood the phrase from empirical experience "soaked to the bone".
