Does anyone else have problems with an 02 phone signal? It is driving me mad because the signal starts off clear but always dies within the first minute. It only happens in Stroud Green. I have to go outside to make a call. And yes, it does seem to be getting worse.
I've tried complaining, upgraded the phone, changed the sim card but nothing works. I've concluded it just has to be a diabolical signal, but 02 don't agree. I am getting really fed up with standing in the freezing snow in the road trying to make a phone call.
Is Stroud Green becoming a mobile black spot, surely we don't have to put up with this in this day and age (etc, etc)?

I thought it was just because we live in a basement flat.
Comes and goes in my flat. Contract is up in January, so have iPhone unlocked and will try my work's Vodafone sim to see what the signal is like. My Blackberry gets a signal all the time.
I have to re-direct my iPhone to my landline when I'm at home or I miss calls.
I don't use 3G, the coverage at my work is awful, so was advised by O2 to 'turn it off and use wifi for data'.
At home off Oakfield road.
Clearly bollocks.
If the story about 02 screwing up over iPhones is true (seems very plausible) then it sounds like I should move to Vodaphone as soon as my contract expires. Or does Vodaphone have iPhone issues as well?
They don't seem to have a record of previous phone conversations, even though they say they do, and you'll have to be prepared to summarise your problem including the twenty previous conversations every time you're in the sad situation of having to ring them, only to find that they are genuinely NOT interested in helping you.
Just google something in that direction. I remember there were quite a number of discussion boards with Vodafone customers who had made a similar experience.
