Miso

edited March 2010 in Local discussion
Most posts about restaurants on SGR seem to be about either pizza or pancakes. Haven't seen any mention of Miso. I ate there a couple of times just after it opened and was quite impressed. Although haven't been back for a long while. Any recent experiences here?

You get a lot for your money.
    Pretty good really.

Although went to Pompoko in Brighton last week, and reminded me the Miso ain't so great.

But it's the best in the area for sure.

I ate there twice in the 12 months after it opened and both times the meat dishes were pure gristle. I am amazed it always seems to have customers. Possibly I was just unlucky but I don't fancy risking it again.

Similarly, while not getting my meal 'til the rest of the party had finished theirs could just have been teething troubles given I went when they were newly opened, it doesn't incline me to try again...

Standard noodles are good, as Jake says you get a lot for your money. anything over and above noodles the quality (esp meat) drops terribly.
