Funnily enough Arthur Righteous is a pseudonym I am known as in our band Rev Swifty and the Smokers which is a dare I say extremely talented group playing a dance til you drop selection of Soul/R'nB Blues Brother style songs played with flare and passion and with a Memphis Delta preacherman image to match. We have been going down a storm as regular resident band at theThe Blues Kitchen, (they have to move the tables or there'd be none left), in Camden Town as well as regular venues for top London promoter Pete Feenstra and will soon be on the festival circuit. We guarantee a night to get your rocks off!
REV SWIFTY AND THE SMOKERS 'The hottest r'n'b band in town' take a night off from residency at prestige venue 'The Blues Kitchen' in Camden Town where they have been playing for the past couple of months to play at the hospitality suite of Barnet Football Club, 'THE BUZZ CLUB' on this Sunday eve February 21st. Doors (and bar) open 8.00; tickets £10 on the door or £8 bookable in advance(hotline:0208 761 9078).
Coming at you like a ball of fire, ignited by the church of the blues and
powered by the hottest slide playing in town. Rev Swifty Le Zarre & the
Smokers featuring Arthur Righteous on blues harp are ready to rip it up at
the Buzz Club!
Sun 21st Feb: The Right Rev will open with his Dobro/banjo led Americana
style before the full might of The Smokers hits the Buzz Club. Doors 8pm –
Tickets £8adv / £10
In a previous existence as an in demand guitar player, song writer and
multi instrumentalist New Yorker The Right Rev Swifty Le Zarre worked for
Alice Cooper and The Ramones before signing a solo deal with The Police
manager and the IRS label of Miles Copeland.

Eschewing his rock career, The Rev Swifty has reached back to the core of
the blues and by electrifying rediscovered classic rhythm and blues he
brought a hard driving edge to supplement his stellar Dobro playing.
Imagine Elmore James meeting Duanne Allman at the crossroads with the
lyrical sensibility of Woody Guthrie and of course Dylan. You will love the
larger than life REV SWIFTY LE ZARRE!
I saw this band at the Jazz Cafe this week and they were brilliant. They started off their set by walking through the crowd while playing Justin Timberlake!

One of the two singers lives locally. They played at our wedding and I think they're fab.
No, I'm not married to any of them.
