  My favourite bridge is the one on Hornsey Lane, when viewed from either side of Archway Rd. Not sure if its any good for trolls though.

  I like that bridge too, although it's not SG. I love the little overgrown staircases that are at the side of it too. They would be excellent habitats for trolls or any other mythical creature.

  When it snowed I slipped and fell a terrifying distance down one of those staircases. I broke my arse quite badly.

  I always think of Suicide Bridge as Dr Johnson's line about being bored of London made concrete. However down I am, that view reminds me that I live in the greatest city on Earth. If you can look at it and still want to jump then yeah, things must be pretty much irretrievable.

  I too love the vistas of London, particularly from said bridge and the top of Ali Pali. However, I had the good fortune to be in the very top of the Guerkin yesterday, which is pretty impressive. Yet I couldn't help compare it to the much more impressive views from the Rockerfella, Sydney Tower & Empire State building.

  Wait until we get to see the views from the Shard. How did you manage to get up the Gherkin sincers? ADGS -I know exactly what you mean. Having a good view over London from my room increases my quality of life considerably, I couldn't put a price tag on it.
