Christmas day dinner - anywhere open?

    My Christmas day numbers have dwindled and I am now considering having a bout of lazyitis. Anyone spotted anywhere that is open and doing Christmas lunch? Preferably not the White Lion and Mortimer...

    I've a feeling not much is open round here. The Flask in Highgate is open though and they do food.

    When I lived in Bradford we would go for a Xmas curry. Not many places were open but our favourite one was and even did turkey dishes. Tasted just like chicken.

    The Noble is shut as far as I know. I wasn't there last year but heard that the Faltering Fullback was open last year and drinks were on the house :)

    I had an email from D&D resteraunts saying the Almeida is open for Christmas lunch - at some cost though!

    I think that Molens opens sometimes on Christmas day, perhaps not the best Christmas dinner ever though!

    And according to the estate agent's sign on the building, I think the pub has now been sold.

    I believe it's just the lease that's been sold and the pub is continuing under the current management.

    Does the 24 hour shop on Seven Sisters Road just across from the bus station do Christmas? I'm pretty sure they do New Year.

    Sainsburys is small enough to be allowed to trade but I haven't checked the opening hours yet. You'll have to do what they did in the olden days before Sunday trading and buy your shopping before the shops close. They are only closed for one day after all.

    The small store up from the Stapleton and next to the butchers willl probably be open on Xmas day. Think it was last year.

    Similarly Mills can simply get lunch the next day or the day before.

    Can this thread be deleted please, it's all so bloody pointless.

    Mills - The cafe on the corner of SGR and Tollington was open on Christmas Day last year, so if you are really desperate you could make do with a slice of microwaved lasagne. I will be continuing my tradition of BBQ sausages and bucks fizz on Christmas morning, so if you stop by my place I'll throw you a sausage sarnie.

    WLM is open for drinks from 1-3pm but they don't usually do food on Christmas Day.

    Tosscat - I think the little offy next to Nando's might be open.

    It's usually a milk thing, we're hosting for 17 and don't keep the stuff in (or have room to keep it in on top of everything else), and I have no idea how much people get through
