  @Arkady - worth about 66 visits. Which, in context, is about the same number of people who google us with the phrase "dragon vet" in a week.

  @andy That is the statistic of the week. I put it down to the popularity of dragon vets (very Crouch End type of pet if I might say so) rather than any lack of popularity for me or The Guardian.

  At the base of Ferme Park Road, there's a billboard for some new Volvo, about how life is more than just cruise control. At the base of which, in angry red letters, a concerned citizen has added:
  
  & SO NOW WHO OR WHAT WILL SAVE G.B. FROM THE U.S. of A.
  
  This raises many questions, not least of which, why was he previously expecting a Swedish automobile to save the nation, and why has this new model dashed that hope?
