Incident on Crouch Hill (by The Noble)

Anyone know what's happened? My wife has just rung to says it's all taped off by the police.....

    The whole pavement is taped off from the Noble up to the corner shop. Can't quite see what's going on though.

    Some kind of over-reaction to finding out the Noble isn't open on a Monday?

    The Noble isn't open on a Monday? Is that even legal? (Actually, it probably is allowed these days, but I seem to remember being I was told by a publican many years ago that a pub could lose its licence for "failing to make proper use of its licence" or some such). -roy
