Zumba

Zumba seems to be the new exercise class about town. Has anyone been to one of the classes? Are classes held in North London?

I saw that article in the Sunday magazine and was surprised that they've touted it as a new thing. Fitness First have been running Zumba classes for a couple of years now and they are usually behind the times if anything. It's good, my sister teaches it and she says it's as good as Body Pump for cardio and fat burning.

Appears to be classes starting on Tollington Park soon: [http://www.zumbafitnesslondon.co.uk/](http://www.zumbafitnesslondon.co.uk/) Both my sisters do Zumba and love it but I suspect I might feel a bit ridiculous if I tried it.

I have just booked a place at the first Tollington class. There are plenty of places left.

I'm going to that venue for the zumba next week, I got a block of 20 classes off Living Social a while back. I will be the one flailing.

Zumba review: Great class, good fun, very mixed ability, good teacher, a bit too crowded, room too hot. A mix of dance styles - salsa, colombian, belly dancing, merengue, etc.

I was there too! The radiators were on at the start so I think that's why it was so hot. The content of the class (tracks and routines) were slightly different to those the previous week (in Holborn with the same teacher), so it won't be the same stuff each time.

a friend of mine Hana has just started instructing Zumba classes at the islington arts factory at very reasonable price of £5. She does 2 sessions one Friday and then Sunday. She is very good.
