I am curious as to the Stroud Green earworms. 6 music are asking for your earworm The term earworm originally comes from a translation of the German word 'Ohrwurm'. It refers to the experience of having a tune or a part of a tune stuck in your head. I often get 'Sit Down' by James - I've always hated it, so I wish I didn't! Repetitive singing of 'Old MacDonald' usually makes it go away, though.

A very painful experience for me was when one morning recently I couldn't get that 'Rah Rah Ooh Lala' hook from one of Lady Gaga's superhits out of my head (the one with 'Rah Rah Ooh Lala' in it - is that Pokerface?). At some point I was ready to have my head chopped off, but then I didn't. Maybe it is my subconscious or something telling me that it wants mor Rah Rah Ooh La la in my life. Very sad. I also frequently get Scarred for Life by Slapp Happy, more of an album track from one of their less exciting albums, and the opening of the Third Brandenburg Concerto.

Jesus Marquis my condolences.That's reminded me I did have the sodding waka waka world cup song in my head for about 3 weeks it went away after I drank best part of a bottle of gin. I dont drink I was that desperate.
