Who cares if a child is brought up by a gay, lesbian or heterosexual couple as long as they are given love and brought up right. Who cares if people sneer at them. In the past people made comments at non-white children in majority white areas in the US and UK. 'I had a dream'. Bigotry is there to be challenged and it will always exist to be challenged. We've come along way but we need to go further.

Death to homophobia and other bigotry.

@ JoeV. Good point. I was a son of a heterosexual couple but suffered years of 'homophobic' abuse due to the fact I was considered different. I was spat on, punched, kicked. But the worst treatment was constant remarks. Oddlly enough I was heterosexual, but because I lived in a small town and listened to odd music, wasn't overtly macho and liked to be a bit flambloyant I suffered this homophobic shit.

I always judge my friends on their 'homophobia'. I drop them as soon as I get whiff of it, as I think it shows the greatest lowlife cowardice there is. What the fuck are you afraid of? You need to question yourself if you're 'homophobic'.

  • joev - gay friends of mine know my views and respect them i will never back down from saying what i believe even when insulted by you calling me a player hater or pretending to hold views that i dont - a ridiculous accusation and a fantasy or assumption you have...i dont actually agree with you that kids who bully kids have bad homophobic parents...some of the worst bullies are middle class kids or upper class kids with parents who are not homophobic at all...the kids bully as thats the type of people they are like and they are under pressure from pushy middle class parents at home so often take frustrations out at school...homophobic bullying in school is absolutely rife and i think you will find it is as bad or worse in post private schools with parents who live in muswell hill as elsewhere...but i agree that bad parents can come from all areas of society...kreuzkav says some yobs bullied him for being into some different things to other kids...that is the mentality of kids whether parents are yobs or upper class...thats what the guardian readers arent paying attention to...kids can be very nasty... school teachers dont do much when kids say "thats gay" to mean thats bad as it is so widespread they cant stop the intolerant behaviour of kids n teens...
  •
@ Chris. I think you need to grow up and stop hiding behind forums. You are a right troll. Quoting a load of papers and producing constant diatribes is just sad. I've just told you how I was treated and how I feel. I was abused and it's not okay. Homophobic abuse towards anyone is shit. I didn't like you taking the piss out of me when in the past, but I was going through a bad patch. My dad was dying from cancer, I was single, in a bad job. Since then I've lost my job, my father. My dad lost his life a few weeks ago. I saw him dying. He lost his sight, his bowels over the last year. He was a great man who helped many people and showed myself, my mother and my sister a lot of love. The nurses were even sad at the hospital because he never gave them any problems and asked how they were until he lost consciousness.

If you want to continue being a selfish self-obsessed cunt, keep it going, but you are a sad man. I hope one day you find the love you seem to have lacked all through your life. But please stop all the bullshit you keep spouting, it's fucking sad and pathetic and you really need to grow up.

  • if you click on the link in my post a few posts up from here if you view the marriage coalition website...there is a tv clip on there that you can watch where a media lesbian commentator says that she does not want gay marriage...but she also wants marriage for men and women to be abolished...and she wants men and women and gays to all have a civil ceremony as marriage for men and women discriminates against women...then she calls the daily telegraph columnist a sexist when he says he loves his wife and likes being married......good luck with that one...enjoyed watching peter tatchell desperately trying to stay calm and polite before getting annoyed at the end of the interview... love it....
  •
Kreuzkav - I respect your right to your opinion.I am not going to make any comments in response other than these because I think you are making some serious points. And I don't want to make any flippant comments in response.

Regards.

  • @ Chris. I've never been a yes man is probably obvious on here. I speak my mind. It's how I was brought up. So I prefer a few friends than being one of the gang/boys. And I will never be friends with a homophobe. Luckily enough there are lots of good people out there who aren't homophobic. It's in their blood to be open minded caring lovely people who don't care if someone's black white gay straight................ Grow the fuck up Chris.
  •
kreuzkav - i respect your right to your opinion. And I have always been interested to read what you have written because unlike some of the people on here you seem like a real person with real views.Being critical is fair enough, why shouldn't you be.I am not a troll though because I am saying my true opinions not just writing for effect.

All the best.

  •
Take care Chris. I hope you find some sort of love. I though my life was bad but you seem never to have had any.

@ Chris. Any more interisting articles you can come up with to prop up your fragile ego. Come on enlighten us with some article from a paper or two. One day you will die. don't forget that. Life is short and please don't be shit in the mean time. You come across like a sad man in his room who thinks he can put the world to right by coming on here and spouting his views. That's OK but when you spout hateful homophobic views you have lost my respect for ever.
  • Or not. Suicide being bad and all.
  •
Before the midnight clamp comes down. I hope Chris realises that he needs to say more meaningful thing things on here and stop his homophobic hate.

I don't want him to die but he needs to make his life more real. ciao

  • kreuzkav,i dont think you mean that and perhaps you have had a few drinkees...we all like a drink or a smoke...bearing in mind the difficult personal circumstances that kreuzkav has said he has been through recently,we should leave the comments that kreuzkav has made and move on to the discussion on this thread...we all have a drink or two and say things we may or may not regret the next day...move on...so no reason to dwell on any comments kreuzkav has made tonight... just move on to the discussion...yeah? yeah!

I don't smoke and yes I had a drink. I still think that your homophobic hate remarks needed to be challenged. And I felt they needed to be challenged with a good slap on the face. You need to stop your coward-like snide comments. Homophobia causes people very real problems. It's not just a joke.
  •
This thread is really bringing out the player haters out of the closet,if you pardon the expression

i imagine loony chooner featherstone cackling round her cauldron like one of the witches in the opening scenes of Macbeth as she laughs at her and "call me dave's" attempt at destroying hundreds years of british history and marriage...

if you have a look at the coalition for marriage website on the link i provided above you cand see some other arguments as to why they are against gay marriage...such as a the idea that if gay marriage is made legal in future the gay lobby can ask for further changes to marriage such as 3 dads or 3 mums ....so you would have kids brought up by 3 dads or 3 mums...

  •
according to the coalition for marriage website many of the general public who have taken part in opinion polls such as mirandolas opinion polls she flagged up...these people dont understand that gay people who have a civil partnership now will get no further legal benefits from gay marriage...once people understand that many people then dont agree with gay marriage as they realise that once gay people are married they can try and change marriage further such as the argument above like wanting 3 dads to be married to bring up kids or 3 mums to be married to bring up kids...

as for the argument of homophobia - it is the case that many homosexuals dont want gay marriage or civil partnerships...and hold the same views i have expressed on this thread ...not homophobic in the slightest ....but i can see how extreemists or actavists or gay rights people like to smear people if they imagine something which does not exist or just for political game...quite inevitable

however kreuzkav has not apologised readers of sg.org will have noticed....which is a disgrace....

  •
i notice kreuzkav deleted the comments that mirandola is commenting on above. Then did not apologise for them.

Andy - have a look at the comments that kreuzkav wrote and then deleted...if that is possible...in the interests of other people on this forum who might be the victim of kreuzkav's comments at a later date...i think you can view comments that were posted then deleted ...i am not saying kreuzkav should be banned but he should be given a warning as what he wrote was well out of order.Mirandola read his comments that he deleted....

  •
@ chris. I was stupid enough to get involved in your discussion. It's going nowhere and I want to get on with my life. I've spent a year or more being down and I want to start enjoying my life again. Learn to love and not hate. Life is short.

If you want to 'carry on', carry on...............

I am a teacher at a local school and one of the Year 7 boys that I teach is the son of two lesbians. During parents evening his two mummies + his biological father + his wife came along. When I first started teaching the boy his mother (who gave birth to him) explained that he was "a turkey baster baby" and that one of her friends had provided the sperm. The boy is one of the cleverest, most well adjusted and charming children I have ever taught. He has always been absolutely open about his family situation and does not get bullied by the other students. In fact he is one of the most popular children in the form. I have also taught children who are neglected, for whom either no one turns up to parents evening or perhaps one parent who is drunk or on drugs. One father did not even remove his i-pod headphones while I was telling his wife about their son, who frequently came to school in unwashed clothes and had permanent headlice. After the recent parents evening I thought how wonderful it was that four people who really love that little boy came to talk to me about him. I think the most important thing is to have parents who love their children and that it doesn't matter whether they are gay or straight. The fact that it is so much more difficult for gay people to have a child - either through surrogacy, sperm donation, or adoption - means that that child must really be wanted by those parents.

If gay people are not legally given equal rights - including the right to be legally married - then they will always be considered different and discriminated against by some sections of society.
