a nice deli would be nice but in terms of fresh bread there is that lovely 24 hour bagel place on seven sisters road opposite finsbury park tube which you can get great bagettes from.
Yeah. And little chicks, and black cats at Hallowe'en and puppies at Christmas. When I was a kid it was terrapins (teenage mutant ninja turtles) that every spoilt brat flushed down the loo after a few weeks. Now I understand it's owls abandoned by disappointed muggle children after they fail the Hogwarts entrance exam.
Jack's is a pretty good off license.
I just hope some independent places stay open. I wonder how long before a Pret arrives. Have to say their cheese and pickle artisan baguette is very good though.

I love that pet shop on Hornsey Road the owner reminds me of Seasick Steve and he has a very beautiful blue macaw that flaps around the place. I went in to buy catnip for the cat we don't own and the chap told me a very interesting story about drug dealers selling catnip to their customers, apparently that is why catnip is now ground up very small instead of being sold in its original leaf form.

@Idoru, that business already exists.

A good old fashioned heavy metal or thrash club, not punk but something subtle, someplace I can mellow out to slayer, sepultura or napalm death.

Or a specalist tea and cheese shop.

A pet shop and deli. They could put the pets which are past their sell-by dates to good use, and vice versa with the deli food. With some wine to wash it all down, and bread, of course.
