Harringay Market starts this Sunday 24 June
  • Dear Stroud Greeners,

Just a quick reminder about the market which starts this coming weekend!

You'll find full details of all the stalls on our site - harringaymarket.co.uk - as well as some pretty brilliant produce traders including Mersham Shoot, Perry Court Farm, Fratelli Formaggio and Wood Green’s very own Celtic Bakers, we are welcoming streateries as varied as Sri Lankan and Brazilian, Italian and Japanese, and a sprinkling of local artists.

11 to 3 at North Harringay Primary School, Falkland Road, N8

Do follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook.

  • This looks lovely, I work alternate weekends so won't be able to come but I look forward to visiting sometime. Good Luck!

  • Can't go this weekend as I'm in Cambridge, but like miss annie I'm definitely looking forward to popping by soon.

  • This was ace.  I bought many, many things.  So many cheeses that my kitchen smells like a festival rucksack. Also, venison sausages.  They were mostly sold out by 14:00, mostly, so I think it will be back next week.

  • Our haul: astonishingly cheap Dover Sole (4 for £10?! 2 from Purkis yesterday cost over £13!), a rabbit, smoked venison, very well-priced cherry toms, a couple of lovely handmade cards, and a fabulous piece of Earl Grey cake. Excellent addition to Harringay! Will be interested to hear your views on the venison saussies, @Arkady - didn't buy any because we need to eat some of the mass of sausages currently in the freezer.

  • This Sunday 8 July is the third Harringay Market at North Harringay Primary School, Falkland Road, N8 (11 to 3) and we have another stellar line-up for you. Top-quality produce, from the likes of Mersham, who supply Wimbledon (no less) with strawberries and Maximus Sustainable Fishing who vetski mentions in the post above; based on the Suffolk coast, they are suppliers to some of London’s top restaurants.

Amongst our street food traders are The Caribbean Chef, who are feeding the Jamaican Olympic team this summer and Banhmi11 - their gourmet Vietnamese baguettes or bánh mì are amongst the best sandwiches in London according to the Evening Standard. As well as being famous on the capital's street food scene, many of our traders are very local to Harringay, including KayTea's Cakes, The Celtic Bakers and The Hungry Wolf.

And we want to hear your feedback, comments, pictures and your recipes - so feel free to post or Tweet us your musings. Oh and please spread the word to friends, family, neighbours and colleagues! We need everyone's support to keep the market's momentum going.

Anyway. Back to this week - the condensed list for 8 July is as follows…and do take a look at our Traders page for full details of all the stalls.

  • Hi Stroud Greeners,

Tomorrow promises to be a sunny day, so I hope to see all of you at Harringay Market.

We have a stellar line-up again to feed your appetite, arts and crafts, produce, and the kids can decorate cookies and have their faces painted.

Check out www.harringaymarket.co.uk for our full list of traders.

See you tomorrow at North Harringay Primary School, Falkland Road N8 0NU.

  • I completely missed it, I thought it went 'til 4 and got there just after 3 to find everyone packed away. It smelled very nice there though. Anyone get any treasure today?
