• I'd definitely be interested in an olive oil tasting. Sounds delicious.
• @andy great idea - thanks! Some time over the next few weeks I'll take you up on that. Also @Ilovegreyhounds, thanks for this, the library is a very good idea. Also I will never miss an opportunity to sell some of my olive oil - I just need to get hold of some more. Will follow both these suggestions up, I'm kinda up to my neck in olive oil right now!
• Being up to one's neck in olive oil sounds rather pleasant to me.
• Yes, I should have specified warm.
• I'd love a couple of bottles too please!

Nine more north Europeans here in freezing London are now the happy owners of that liquid sunshine known as 'Stroud Green extra virgin olive oil' from Casa della Meridiana in the Aventino Valley in Abruzzo, Italy. Admittedly this was a slow start for the Authentic Abruzzo Stroud Green Olive Oil Inc at Harringay Market today, but it does mean there is plenty left over for next time. Start an orderly queue please!
@emine, @Papa L ,@Mirandola and anyone else who has asked me to keep them a bottle or two - no problem. I hope to arrange a 'pop up' stall in Stroud Green next week and will post details here.
• And me, please - finished the very last drop of ours on Sat. Meant to come to the market yesterday, but such miserable weather that I stayed in to keep the cats company!
  • Thanks Krappy, looking forward to getting some.
• In response to public demand, I'm taking my oil over to the Sugar Lounge TONIGHT between 7pm and 10pm for a pop up oil deli (well, a table). If you miss it, I may do a similar pop up at the Stapleton next week, if they'll have me.

If you come to Sugar Lounge tonight, please buy a drink or get a bite to eat, as Sugar Lounge are very kindly allowing me to use their space. There's a jazz guitarist on and happy hour is 5-8. See you!

• Jazz pianist at Sugar Lounge now in full flow. Sadly not a single taker for olive oil yet but at least the cocktails and music here are very good. Urgent review of marketing department under way - heads will roll.
  • Now we are on to Nel Blu...oh oh oh oh. Sod the olive oil.
  • Blue Suede Shoes. Aaaaargh. Really interesting in here. Rather left bank.
  • Ah drat - I nearly dropped by on my way home, but I'm suffering from stayedupwaytoolatefortheelectionresultsitis. I hope it's going well!
• I had a splendid evening at the Sugar Lounge, most convivial, thank you, but unfortunately this did not prove a successful way to match up bottles of Stroud Green olive oil with potential customers. In fact, it bombed. I have fired the entire marketing department. The SG Olive Oil Inc will look for another way to fulfil the demands of all you Stroud Green oleaphiles.

In the meantime, I have left a small supply on display at Sugar Lounge, Cheedam or Burchin will be happy to meet your olive oil requirements, though unfortunately the price has gone up to £5 to meet the overheads.

Just drop by and purchase while stocks last, I will arrange something more permanent shortly.
At last - new season 'Stroud Green' olive oil has now gone on sale at Stroud Green Fruit & Veg (Ash's shop near Cats).

It's this season's brand new 2012 'vintage' just arrived here by car last week. It's got a new and really fantastic looking STROUD GREEN OLIVE OIL label, which is a present from Craig, a neighbour here in Stroud Green who is a professional food label designer and also a member of this online community....thanks Craig!

Ash has priced it at £5.49 for 250ml, which sounds a bit steep but probably won't even cover my costs, but the main thing is it's the real thing - pure extra virgin oil. Enjoy!

• I just bought some and can confirm it's absolutely delicious!

Ash has priced it at £5.49. I hope to put the same bottle on sale at other places round Stroud Green and N4 too and the price might vary from place to place. I'll also be hawking it as Christmas presents outside Budgens, Harringay Market and hopefully Ally Pally Farmers Market at £5 a pop in the next two weeks.

Here's the new Stroud Green label

• The olive oil is ace. Very peppery as noted. I shall be purchasing more as gifts!
• Is it still on sale at Sugar Lounge? I'm thinking of checking out the jazz there on Weds and will pick up a bottle if it's there.

@Idoru I withdrew it from Sugar Lounge, as several bottles had been sitting there untouched for three weeks...........people go to Sugar Lounge to booze and drink cocktails, not buy oive oil. But ask at the bar, if I get round to it I'll try to leave you a bottle there. Finding a good way to get the oil to my customers is proving quite a conundrum.........PS hope jazz is good
• Label looking good! Pleasure to help.
I have finished a whole bottle in a month and it is such good olive oil!

You can eat it on it's own, it's that good.

Good luck!

  • @Krappyrubsnif Sorry have been very lame at actually getting my hands on this after your offer of a bottle. I will make sure I stop by Ash's Fruit and Veg and get one of those.
• @Idoru, you can come and find me at home if you want, which is a fairly short stagger from Sugar Lounge......I've sent you a message with my address. Just ring the bell. I can come up with any number of bottles from the Olive Cellar. Actually, I might come over to the Sugar Lounge myself later on, a bit of jazz is quite appealing, but I wouldn't recognise you in the throng.
  • I'll be at the Stapleton Tavern from 6.30 to 7.30 tonight (that's Thursday) with a few bottles of Stroud Green Olive Oil, should anyone want to get hold of one. Will also do doorstep sales (mine) if anyone would like to pick up a bottle in person - just direct message me for the address and to fix a day/time.
• @krappyrubsnif Many thanks for your kind offer, unfortunately I didn't go in the end. Too cold to brave going outside unless absolutely necessary. I'll definitely pick some up at some point. I've got time off next week so might pop into Ash's shop.
Oil is now also on sale at Il Piccolo Diavolo at the bottom of Crouch Hill - very authentic and delicious Italian food by the way.
