When I think of the good nights we've all had in there over the years as Duke, Red Rita's , n4 and Fonthill it is heartbreaking to see it shut. I hope it opens with a bang and is lively and continues to be a good local and football supporters pub. It is also very child friendly despite not having a beer garden. Chang
That place seemed to suffer with local gangsters hanging out in there.
The landlord was a nice guy, he tried to bring in Vietnamese food once!
There was uproar as the locals were unhappy losing their chicken burgers.....
I agree there were some unsavoury types there from time to time. But I Only once saw a fight and no food or women were involved/injured. I wish there were not such big tvs everywhere - what about conversation and banter?! - but that as Rocky used to say us the modern pub trade. Chang
As long as it's not on my doorstep. <div><br></div><div>I agree with you but would you like to live near one?</div><div><br></div><div>That's why laws were invented, and civic responsibility.</div>
I do! I'm on moray road. I think In many ways the N4 hosted true locals who were actually here a lot longer than when the middle classes moved in about a decade ago.
