Sunshine Café - avoid

I normally avoid greasy breakfasts but sometimes you need a quick carb boost in a hurry and the Sunshine Café always used to be the place - its £4 set breakfast was the best in town. Not any more. I'm in there now and its the worst English breakfast I've ever had. Leathery bacon, carbonised black pudding and toast ten minutes late. Terrible food but not even enjoyably terrible. Standards have fallen through the floor under new owners. Horrible. Avoid!

The family who used to run the Sunshine Cafe now run the cafe by the zebra crossing, top of Crouch End Hill. Awesome food and friendly service awaits you there.

What cafe? I didn't see one. Do you mean somewhere on Crouch Hill where Parkland Walk goes under or somewhere in Crouch End?

Annie - at the top Crouch *End* Hill where the steps go down to Parkland Walk, near that school. It's where Crouch End Station was. I think that's where Beek means.<br>

Annie - I think it was previously called "Crescent Cafe'". Coming from Hornsey Road, it's near the old TUC building (now newer site of Coleridge School).

Ah, it was the Crouch End Hill bit thst confused me. That cafe's always been a cracker, used to have breakfast there every week when I lived round the corner in Hornsey Rise Gdns.
