  • The Mail has to be the worst. Vitriolic doesn't begin to cover it!

@emine - from my limited understanding of the economics of the Guardian, I didn't think anyone was getting paid?<div><br></div><div>Hence the coffee shops, 'training days' to play at being a journalist, pin the tail on Jay Rayner, etc. Is there a department that thinks these up, or can anyone have a go?</div>
  • @andy - well, considering the Guardian's open-journalism-multi-media-coffee-platforms, it would certainly fit their ethos for anyone to have a go. I'm currently working out how they can monetise cat videos.
  • You would have thought there was some money in risking everything to reveal the existence of a massive, secret, unchecked global surveillance state, but apparently not. So if it's coffee shops, it's coffee shops.<div><br></div>
  • Oh I don't know, the Mail has a certain value - mostly in a 'There but for the grace of God' sense! Plus it's always handy to know exactly what the latest threat is to property prices, and what Harper Beckham is wearing.<div><div><br></div><div>@emine, happy to help on the thinking-about-cat-videos project! </div></div>
  • Anyone up for helping me out with my article? :)
