11am in Finsbury Park - not sure Wray Crescent will take it - jumpers for goal posts (unless anyone has something more sophisticated), mulled wine at half time (after about 20 minutes), shorts preferred but not obligatory. Thorpedale Road v the rest. What do you think?

Not sure that we'd be able to rustle up enough footballers. I could be wrong, we have some avid season ticket holding football fans, but will happily do mulled wine and mince pies.

Chang I'm not taking on the WI at anything, I don't possess suicidal tendencies and once the WI get their teeth in something it's game over. How does 3 and you're in sound? Better explain that, it's a game we use to play up north one keeper and the rest play for themselves until one player scores 3 goals then they become the keeper and the game continues.

I feel the need to haul this back to the original suggestion - football. 7-a-side minimum, and if we can't manage that we can do Detritus's 3-and-in (as it is referred to in the south).

7 a side sounds good but what formation to play 2-2-2 or maybe to give more space on the wing 2-3-1 with a striker rather that two playing off of each other.

Played British Bulldog in the park a couple of years back - I ended up with my shirt torn in two, one guy bust his ankle. A lot of the damage was done by a teacher, who had presumably picked up all the most effective plays from paying attention during playground duty.
