@gardener-joe well according to the article the Old Dairy, Faltering Fullback and Front Room are in Harringay but Rub and Boulangerie Bon Matin are in Hornsey (along with the Haberdashery in Crouch End).
It's basically an article about Stroud Green, but that didn't fit the "H" based premise of the article. The author has N4 in her twitter bio, so she's one of us.
Ha ha, that is the most geographically confused article I have read in a while. I don't know where I live now.<div><br></div><div>Also, no poor people eat dinner in the Old Dairy, even if they can take their own grog one night a week.</div>
If I wanted to spend Old Dairy restaurant prices I'd go to Season or Tufo.
There was an article in the Standard a couple of weeks ago about North vs South, where the journalist representing the North banged on about dinner at the OD, but he had it in Finsbury Park so at least the correct borough.
The Oak & Pastor (formally Drum & Monkey) is good, but wouldn't say it's hipster, more yummy mummy. All my pal's NCT ladies use it as a common room and it's rammed with buggies all the time.
I liked this map from a short while ago,
http://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/east-is-poor-west-is-posh-south-is-rough-and-north-is-intellectual-londoners-views-on-the-citys-postcodes-revealed-9088834.html
*Sigh*. Well, this rules out a few local bars and coffee shops for me now. I usually avoid venues listed in newspaper uber-trend-fest articles. Looks like I'll have to get the bus.
