Interestingly pretty high turnout this side of the railway tracks, up to nearly 50% in some wards, the other side was lower around the expected 30% but those wards are safer labour seats so no surprise there.

@Vetski it may have to do more with rates of employment and higher educational status of the area. Places like Rotherham, Thurrock have very diverse populations with very poor employment.

I think the low turnout on the Islington side of the tracks is due to the lack of choice. You had a chance to vote for the status quo or not vote.

Kate, the Euro votes aren't being released until Sunday (or even counted until then I think). THe local elections only gave a choice between Labour, Lib Dem and Greens.
