Rats in the park

Is anyone else alarmed by the proliferation of them? Several rats were boldly running around near the pond last time I visited eating morsels of bread. It made me feel uncomfortable.

Rats are only an issue when they enter your house as they can spread parasites and bacteria that cause leptospirosis. In the wild they are harmless and will generally run away unless you confront them. I hope you not suggesting any harm to the wild rats?

I wouldn't worry about it. It'll be eaten by Carrion Crows or foxes. Circle of life, innit.
