There is now officially only 1 week to go. Stroud Green Women's Institute will be holding its first Winter Fair on Saturday 22nd November at Stapleton Tavern in their chandelier room. The fair - in keeping with the spirit of the WI will feature the work of local talented artists and craft experts with homemade produce to tempt early Christmas shoppers. It's in aid with local charity Open Door, which offers free confidential counselling and psychotherapy to young people living in Haringey, so you can shop guilt free, knowing you're making a difference. <div><br></div><div>There will be a great variety of stalls including handmade coloured glass gifts and decorations by Virle Archer, works from print artists, Tessa Galloway and Anna Robertson, laser cut wood jewellery from Bough to Beauty, as well as crochet blankets, hand-stitched rag dolls and preserves from Stroud Green Larder.</div><div><br></div><div>For children there will be a decorations workshop and face painting, whilst parents can place orders for beautiful homemade Christmas wreaths. There will also be one of the WI's renowned cake stalls with homemade cakes so you can treat yourself whilst browsing.</div><div><br></div><div>If that wasn't going to be enough to tempt you to stop by then there will also be a raffle with fantastic prizes such as 2 x tickets to the Park Theatre at a production of your choice, £50 Ocado voucher, a signed pennant from Tottenham Hotspur, a hamper from Deli at 80, a bottle of Sipsmith gin and Vestal vodka, a free treatment from Integrated Body Dynamics, a free bicycle service from Micycle, a beautiful orchid from Bud flower shop, a goody bag of art materials from Jackson's Art Supplies, tea, coffee and cake for two at The Haberdashery, 1 hour beauty treatment by Pura, Sophie Conran casserole dish, £20 gift card from Margot, £20 Tesco gift card, an ink sketch from a photo of your pet from Mosey Home, £15 fruit basket from broadway fruiterere, £20 gift voucher from Stefan Alexander Clothing, a gift voucher from Exeter St Bakery, biscuits and chocs from The Organic Shop, £19 Hard Az Nailz voucher, candles from Hettie Holland, a Katie Alice mug set, a Jones clock, LSA tumblers, Nivea beauty gift set, a gift from Indish Designs, a Dartington water decanter, fireworks from X-It and a bottle of white wine from Jacks Off Licence, christmas pudding from Dunn's Bakery, gift from Treehouse gift shop, free refreshments for a family visiting Pickled Pepper Books, nail re-varnish with gel polish at Elegance Beauty Clinic.</div><div><br></div><div>Raffle tickets will be available on the day.
