I like Rub / Brisket's food. Their hot platter for £20 which gives Jerk ribs, jerk pulled pork, buffalo wings, chilli fries and chilli slaw if you eat in is very good value.<div><br></div><div>They've changed the seating around a bit, seemed to be a bit odd but has created a bit more atmosphere.<br><div><br></div><div>I'd change two things. </div><div><br></div><div>1) There is no point having a curtain to keep the cold out when the door is opened if you don't close it.</div><div>2) Serve beer in pints. It's all very well drinking craft ale in those trendy smaller glasses but I want a pint of it.</div></div>
Can anyone explain what exactly makes the place a rum bar? Just like in it's original incarnation as a milk bar, if you're going to put it on your sign your better be dam good at it.
That place is so mediocre it hurts. Anyone who fancies good US bbq should just hop on the Victoria line to Oxford circus walk 5 minutes and enjoy Bodeans. 3x better in my opinion
I can't speak for the rum bar thing, but I can heartily recommend aces and eights in Tufnell Park for late night American style boozing. It's but a 5 quid uber cab ride away and we have nothing like it this side of holloway road
Veggie breakfast at a meat establishment.<div><br></div><div>@ Arkady. During the elictions you denied Markpack existed. He is a liberal organiser. I'm not stupid. If you block me in any way I will report you to the press. You know I'm tenacious and won't back down. You claimed his non-existence.</div>
Don't be ridiculous @Kreuzkav! @Arkady never claimed he didn't exist. Someone was ranting on about @markpack being Arkady. He isn't. You can quite easily see Mark through his website and published work online, Arkady made his real name quite public when he stood at the local elections.
No idea what you would go to the press about, but I'd like to be a fly on the wall when you present this lot of drunken, paranoid ramblings to the Gazette. I might be the only one to have read the comment about Muslims, that you posted late one night a few weeks ago and sensibly deleted the next morning, that was equally ridiculous but more offensive.
I suggest you think before you post, some of us are up early enough to see this nonsense before you delete it.
The person who claimed that Mark Pack and I were one and the same was, of course, Kreuzkav, which makes this all the funnier.
Is Kreuzkav the only person that gets to post after midnight (which would be gloriously ironic) or did we finally lift the late night restrictions?
For the record: Stroudgreen.org uses Vanilla as it's hosting software. Vanilla includes a 'change log', which tracks any edits that people make to their own posts. Now mostly this just records people being pedantic about their sentence structure. But it also records people saying horrible and offensive things and then regretting it in the morning when they sober up. Some people might want to keep that in mind the next time they decide to libel people or make batshit accusations.
Does that mean that if I post something I regret and than delete it ALL to leave an empty pane, anyone with two brain cells can still figure out how to read it.......? Ulp.
Arguments like this on public forums are tiresome. No one wants to read it so yes can you take it offline please and let's get back to talking about access to the station/that latest coffeeshop/how much rubbish is piling up in our streets please. That is the primary reason I and many others joined. If we want to read silly posts we can go on youtube/the guardian etc.

There was an element of humour in what I said. This site has been used for Lib Dem propaganda. I don't hate them. I actually don't like Labour after the Scotish independence referendum and our local Labour councillor told us he was jetted up to Scotland to galvanise the the anti-independence vote. His attitude towards the Sottish was quite bad I thought. I'd prefer to vote for the Lib Dems rather than Labour after that. </span><div><br></div><div>I was worried about the Lib Dem power on here and how this site was being used to influence policy. I can't say I'm happy with the way this site seems to be pro-developer and the turning of SG into a welcome home for Starbucks and luxury flats. </div>
<font face="Arial, Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: normal;">I'm almost scared to mention it, but I had an excellent breakfast with Mark Pack in there last year - some sort of variation of bacon and scrambled egg with - if I recall correctly - chorizo.</span></font><div style="font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><br></span></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: normal;">I'd warn people against the breakfast burger through.
