  I was at 41 Hornsey Rise Gdns then, paying £100 per month to live with two friends in a slightly derelict five bedroom mansion. It belonged to the council but they couldn't put council tenants in due to the state of it. They let us have it for ground rent and repairs. Best deal ever, even though we had indoor weather and a paddling pool to catch the rain in the attic.

  I wish I'd bought one of the best houses on Mount View Road for £300k. I'd love to live in one of those ones overlooking the covered reservoir.
