Complete with comedy Guardian comments thread argument.<div><br></div><div>Well worth a read, but to sum up - commenters ranting at Guardian's 'UK is on the poverty line / here's an £8.50 cheap sandwich' clash.</div><div><br></div><div>Whilst brilliantly missing the point that this isn't comparable to a Tesco £2 sandwich but going out for dinner - largely I suspect because many didn't bother to read the article that explained that and not even the standfirst that does the same.</div><div><br></div>
<p>No point to that argument, £8.50 for a sandwich (even one with chips in it), seems steep to me but there are many happy customers. He's doing something that there is clearly a market for and good for him for getting off his bum and being entrepreneurial. I hope they don't now get targeted by misguided freaks in the same way as Ceral Killer café did. </p>
