Haircuts

Have just been for a haircut at Smart Design (opposite Tesco).

Job done in less than 11 minutes, no useless chat, no football talk, no questions. Ace haircut, 7 quid.

Can anyone tell me of a better barber in Stroud Green?

I like the lady in Blosoms on the corner of SGR and Albert Road, think that was about £15 for a dry cut, though was very good. Not a fan of the barbers next door though. Will keep your toptip in mind though.

Couldn't find the recent discussion on haircuts so have revived a historic one. Haircut in Vitors has gone up to £18 which strikes me as a lot to pay for a 10 or 15 minute short back and sides. But I hate having my hair cut so I never shop around and there was a big queue in the Turkish barber. Is there a premium in being bald anyone?

I went in smart design yesterday. A short back and sides cost me £13, which I thought was reasonable given his diligent approach. Best haircut I've ever had? No. Best so far discovered for the money in the area between Finsbury Park Station and crouch end? Yes

@Mr_Arif, that was in 2007. Last time they charged me £11. Sounds like you're getting a bargain, is that the OAP rate?

I used to use Mets which is a few doors down form Jacks off licence. He is often alone so waits could be long. He has a Facebook page. Not sure how much a scare cur is there now though? https://www.facebook.com/metsgentshairdresser/?fref=ts

I use visors, and think £18 is reasonable. But I have a haircut using scissors, not the clippers. Which obviously takes longer and is a bit more of an effort.

Vitor charges me £5, mainly due to the fact I have very little hair and go in every week.

Andrew's Barber on Hornsey Road (510c) charges £9 for short back and side. Not as good as Smart Design but usually no queues (incl Saturday)
