Foraging time?

Any recommendations for wild damsons or plums? I went along the Parkland Walk yesterday looking for blackberries, but the run of bramble along the abandoned station platform seems to have been eradicated in favour of nettles. Strange clearance choice. Happy to offer elderberries to anyone who can use them!

Damson tree on at the junction of Lancaster Rd and Carlton Rd.

There is another damson tree opposite the petrol station on Stapleton Hall Rd between the entrance to the parkland walk and the last house on the terrace.

Never found a nice use for elderberries, elder flowers make lovely drinks. Have the apple tree or fig tree in the Park borne fruit this year?

Agree about elderberries. I once tried them in a sauce for duck but not convinced. I'll check out damson possibilities though.

The damsen tree on Lancaster Road is pretty.uch done for the season, I think.

There's some massive fungi growing over Wray Crescent right now, no idea if it is edible or not.
