Who knows? Maybe they need time to work out what they want to do with the business?
So Stroud Green now has 2 Vietnamese restaurants (3 if you count Salvation in Noodles), but no decent Japanese / Korean for the time being.
Hi guys, new poster here. I went the Saturday before they closed (one of my favourite places). We weren't expecting the news either but they told us the sushi chef (and owner) has had health problems and can no longer work. The other staff wanted to keep going but by no means under the name Dotori or location, because that is his.
Very sad indeed!
The Triangle restaurant is going to be demolished, with a replica extension to the 'Londis' terrace built on the site - the exiting Triangle facade will then be rebuilt in front of the new addition. It's planned to stay as a restaurant once the development is finished... more when I'm allowed to say!
Whoops, ha ha yeah i meant the Auld Triangle, get away from my pub!
I did wonder why the squatters were allowed to stay in there so long though... must be a smaller restaurant then?
Yes, I meant the Triangle restaurant. Oh right! Well, I'm intrigued, anyway. The Triangle had its plus points but was too expensive for what it was. I think it had a garden area though - would be nice if that stays in the new incarnation.
Good news on Dotori - this from their Facebook page:
Hello customers!
Dotori is due to open again for business fairly soon this year.
We will keep you posted along the way with an open date.
We would like to thank all our customers for your patience and support during this long break.
p.s. we are working out another option in order to deal with the high volume of calls during business hours and we will let you know here, our website and restaurant with the details before we open.
We hope to see you all again very soon ☺
Thank you always.
Dotori, 18.08.16
Great news only managed to eat there once before they closed, I've been using Hana Sushi on Seven Sisters Road recently, and they're bloody good as well, competition is always welcome.
I always order for delivery from Hana, but now that they are on deliveroo, it takes them forever to bring the order. Anyway, great to have Dotori back, hopefully it will be easier to get a table now!
I popped in this afternoon to make a reservation. The young man who is often there (he's a nice guy) was working at renovations, which looked some way from being complete. He told me that they were reopening MARCH 7.
@andover-yo I'm close as well (Pooles Park), I guess I was unlucky as it happened twice in a week! Before that, they would always bring it in less than 30mins.

There were a few horrified people staring at the sign today when I went past. I'm really gutted
Very sad indeed!
