Just wanted to give a shout-out for a great new place on Stroud Green Road called Mento. It's a few doors up from Dotori, on the corner by the bus station. They have a florists on the ground floor but also do superb coffee, and downstairs (in the basement) they have created a beautiful, bright seating space that would be a lovely spot to chill or work for a bit (I don't know whether they have WiFi yet though). They do splendid home-made cakes, and the people running it are just lovely and deserve to succeed. Highly recommended.
