Highbury Corner bridge replacement - road closure

Not strictly Stroud Green, but near enough nevertheless, due to the bridge replacement works, Holloway Road is closed in both directions where it meets Highbury Corner until 8th January. It looks like it will be closed from Digswell Street.
So you might be better parking round the park by the swimming pool and walking round.

How does that help replace a bridge that needs repairing and replacing as it is structurally unsound?

After the works I think the plan is to get rid of the roundabout and putting a square on the tube entrance side

In a previous discussion on this topic some people were finding it hard to visualise what the 'bridge' was that was being replaced at Highbury Corner. It's certainly harder to picture than at Crouch Hill.
