Book group 22nd Jan 8pm at the White Lion: Wise Children by Angela Carter
We're having a longer break than usual to allow everyone to have a good go at their Christmas books, reconvening on Monday 22nd January at 8pm.
The book will be Wise Children by Angela Carter.
The Guardian summarises it as "a fictionalised showbiz memoir charting the slings and arrows inflicted on two very different branches of a once-great theatrical dynasty in London", and claims it is Carter's greatest novel.
Everyone welcome to turn up on the night: one-offs and members new, less new and old. We'll meet in the back of the White Lion on Stroud Green Road.
