The W5 is comedy. It has hail and ride sections so in theory you can flag it down anywhere but in practice it sometimes sails by if you're not on the drivers' preferred spots! It does a different route in each direction and on the way to crouch end does a loop round by harringay station meaning it crosses the same section of Oakfield road twice. Occasionally on this loop the destination sign will be showing the wrong place for added confusion. Still a useful bus if you live anywhere near harringay station though!

I see the people gathering at random points on the road, no markings, no signs. Often roads that feel like no bus should be going down.
Then all of a sudden a W5 will magically appear.
I wish I knew the secret to their magic ways.
Hence @Arkady 's magic moniker.
I'm going to spend the morning stalking it. And standing around on random pavements in hope it will appear.
I'm guessing they don't take oyster payments and instead you have some special phrase you have to utter to the driver.
