    Who Chang?

Thing is, Grenners is right about this. I voted Remain, but every non city dweller I know or work with voted Leave. We do live in a bubble, it would be daft to deny that.

.......all this because I asked if David Lammy lived in Stroud Green. I was doubting myself as he looks a lot shorter in real life.....
  • Everyone does. Except Leo Di Caprio - surprisingly tall.

I was standing next to him on the W3 staring down at him blankly whilst my brain scanned through the famous people section. He was looking back at me as if to say stop staring at me. I couldn't stop staring......too interesting to look at.
  • Miriam Margolyes, inside Finsbury Park Station, looking totally bemused that she had to walk around the block to get to the Park Theatre. It will be a lifetime regret that I didn't offer to escort her.
  • She's in a play there soon - about Helena Rubenstein.
I saw her in Soho in the winter and took the opportunity to tell her that I believe my chap loves her more than he loves me. I gave her a big hug too, she is marvellous.
  • I don't know much about famous people but there was a man called Edward Sheeran on desert island discs who lived above the T bar in Blackstock Road when he first moved to London. Apparently he has red hair, a port wine stain around his right eye and used to wear NHS glasses.
  • I knew him a bit when we both used to play the open mic there years ago. Nice chap, very talented. But I'm totally unmoved by anything he's done since he got a record contract.
  • One of the songs Sheeran talked about was "ATeam" about class A drug addiction for a women in a homeless shelter. Very interesting words to the song. It looks as though the women in the song was from a homeless shelter in East London and not from round here. He comes across as a thoughtful articulate guy in the interview.

What was your open mic talent Arkady?
  • A little guitar, some decent harmonica.
  • I saw Bill Bailey last night crossing Seven Sisters Road.

I have previously spotted him in the Snooty Fox so i assume he is local.
  • Double whammy in Islington last week. Benedict Cumberbatch and David Hockney both in the same bar. Pretended not to look of course.
  • Bill Bailey lives west - Hammersmith I think, read an interview with him recently. Probably has mates locally.
  • Funnily enough i did also see him in Chiswick a few weeks ago which makes sense, you cannot miss him by the scowl.

I was also sat opposite Hugh Dennis the other week on the Circle Line but i couldn't remember if he was Punt or Dennis (wow that makes me feel old), otherwise i would have got a selfie with him and really made his day.
  • I saw Henning Wehn eating lunch at Que Me the other day. I told him I thought he was hilarious.
  • Actually i saw him in Banners a while ago, he was obviously off the clock so i left him alone.

I would be lying if I told him I thought he was hilarious
  • I saw him in the crush trying to get into FP station. He smelled fusty.

I saw Sara Pascoe earlier walking round the top of Upper Tollington Park, made me wonder if she lives here or had been to visit Katherine Ryan.
  • Pascoe sometimes coffees in the Boulangerie, so assume she's a local.
  • She does. Lives behind me. Not going to be more specific.

I was sat one table away from Sir Starmer in a local pub the other day, he was sat there with a pint, having a normal (if fairly serious looking) conversation with a couple of other guys, I can’t imagine Fat Al doing that somehow.

Actually it was quite endearing to see that the young girl with him (I guess his daughter) was sitting there looking totally bored on an iPad, I guess it doesn’t matter who your dad is when you’re sitting in a boring boozer with him and his boring mates.

  • I saw three of "The Traitors" in The Robin a couple of weeks ago.

Also, I was in a boozer in Marylebone the other day and Patsy Kensit stormed in and demanded to know what champagne they had before promptly storming out again, she was carrying handfuls of designer bags like that scene from Pretty Woman with a predictably rich looking suitor scurrying after her.

Next pub and I had a totally unexpected chat with Richard E Grant at the bar! He was suitably awesome,
