Haven't tried it, but Piccolo Diavolo at the bottom of Crouch Hill does breakfast now. If the food is as good as their normal dinners, it will be very good.
Bit late to the thread and I don’t think it does breakfast but I think current holder of best food in the area goes to Kjöt + Eldur at the Brave Sir Robin.
Pork sausages slow-fried in the pan, smoked streaky bacon oven-baked until weaponised-level crispy, black pudding, hash browns, Heinz '5 beans' slow cooked until thick. Fried bread done in the pan that had the sausage and black pudding in.
Sometimes I'll go with some cholesterol-risking buttery scrambled egg, but not when hungover as egg can send me straight to the porcelain if I'm feeling nauseous already. I'm also a believer in finely-chopped chorizo cooked in with the beans, but I forgot to get any.
In an ideal situation there would be some leftover vegetables from an Indian takeaway - sag paneer is perfect - refried into a zingy take on bubble and squeak. But I'm aware that some will consider this eccentric.
Never, ever fungus.
Serve with black coffee, fruit juice and a bloody mary. If you have no tomato juice but do have marmite then an ersatz bullshot can really settle the stomach, though it's not for the faint of heart, and I do understand those who feel that particular cocktail should have been left in the 1970s
Sadly I have to report that standards have sadly declined at the Front Room: food cold (how can you do cold baked beans, FGS?) and spotty service. Alternatives?
Agreed regarding Front Room even had canned fruit with my pancakes last time I went. Good Office does very solid breakfast with quality ingredients and they are very nice.
When feeling desperately fetid, disassociated and crapulous due to a surfeit of grain and grape, if residual strength is there for the ascent of The Hill then The Meat Breakfast option at Banners hits the mark. Especially if the baked beans goes in favour of the fried scab option, the congealed blood and lipids of the Isle of Man Black Pudding complementing the cured pig flesh and muscular sausages. Fresh grilled toms and large field mushrooms with two fried eggs a quiver on top of excellent toast complete the feast. Not cheap, but a quality FEB.

I'd forgotten about Picolo Diavalo- they do indeed serve a mighty breakfast.
And agree about the Brave having the best food- see also beer, ambience and service.
In the end I went to Londis and then cooked my own fry-up and it was amazing.
Some people have crackers ideas about what belongs on the plate
