Dentist (NHS)

Looking for any recommendations. I'm not the biggest fan of a trip to the dentist and the last one I went to over in Holloway put me off slightly so any tips would be welcome!

I'm still using the one on upper street that I registered with when I moved to London. I've not lived down there for 12 years.

I use the one on Hanley Rd - not had any problems there on NHS (Trishna, the dentist I usually see is v thorough).

Well I went there for a routine check up and walked out with a 4 and half grand quote to remove one crown and drill into different random teeth before filling them with gel, no idea why.

Not really feeling this i went somewhere else and they said he was totally taking the mick, a quick clean later and a couple of visits to the hygienist and they are absolutely fine, this was about 3 years ago.

Someone else I know went there (and paid) 6 times trying to sort out his toothache, one visit to somewhere else and it was sorted.

I think he must be a distant relative of Dick Turpin, both keen on masks.

I registered as a new NHS patient with Torrance Dental on Seven Sisters Road a couple of weeks ago and was seen very quickly and efficiently.

Agree, Torrance is quick and sound. I never seem to see the same dentist twice, and I haven't needed anything complicated (touch wood), but since I moved there a few years ago I've been happy with them.

Nice Smile actually on SGR (just south of Tesco, on the same side of the road) have been satisfactorily looking after my gnashers for the past four years, and I like to bite people.

Aha...happy to have found this thread. Was just about to post lots of questions on here looking for things/services and local dentist was one of them.
